Exceptional drought is classified by the U.S. Drought Monitor as a category D4, which is the highest of five categories of drought severity.

California has not experienced exceptional drought since at least 2000, and the long drought spell has left more than 100 million trees dead according to the U.S. Forest Service.

During the show, many landscaping professionals visited the Kurapia booth. There has been a growing interest and awareness of Kurapia, and we found that about half of the attendees who visited our booth had either heard of Kurapia or have had experiencing using it.

It's called by different names by local Water Agencies but it all towards to serve same objective. It's a program to fight the worst drought in 500 years, and save our precious water resources. In some sections of Calidfornia, water use for turf irrigation may seem insignificant, but in other area it accounts for 50 percent or more of the consumption of city water supplies during the summer months.
